This funding, from Homes England’s Home Building Fund, will support the delivery of 42 homes at the site.
Currently under construction, these homes will include 15 allocated to be affordable housing.
The properties are designed by HTA Design and build to Passivhaus standards.
They will use Greencore “Biond” panels that aim to lock up more carbon than they emit, and are part of the housebuilder’s ambition to deliver 10,000 “better than net zero” homes by 2035.
The housebuilder already has a £45m equity investment from majority shareholder and asset manager M&G.

“The completion of this £8m development finance facility is a perfect example of where intervention from Homes England can help to unlock housing delivery by providing financial support for ambitious SME housebuilders like Greencore to build more environmentally friendly and low-carbon homes,” said Marcus Ralling, CIO at Homes England.
Jon Di-Stefano, CEO at Greencore Homes, added: “This partnership with Homes England represents a pivotal moment for Greencore and our delivery of 42 sustainable homes at Milton Heights.
“As we continue to drive housing delivery to reach our target of 10,000 homes by 2035, partnerships such as this with Homes England will be essential.”
